Pre-Inspection Check List
In our ongoing effort to make your inspection more efficient and cost effective, kindly review your conveyance records and address the following prior to your scheduled inspection:
- Gather whatever documents you think may pertain to your conveyances for your inspector to review, such as: recent compliance notices, maintenance records, etc.
- Please check to see if your annual Category 1 tests are up to date. You will not pass your inspection if these tests have not been performed within the past 12 months. If you do not have this information, contact your elevator maintenance company to see when your test was last performed.
- Correct any obvious deficiencies prior to inspection, which will decrease the need for an additional inspection and additional inspection charges. Most common and easily remedied deficiencies include non-working emergency phones and lighting, malfunctioning alarms and door restrictors.
- If you need additional time to gather your information or correct any issues, please contact our office, we will be happy to reschedule your inspection in order to allow you enough time to address your issues before we arrive.
